INTERNSHIP
PROGRAMS

Register to undergo the Accountability Assessment first. Once you pass (sell 45 active subscriptions in 3 months), you become an intern for a 24-month logbook-based workplace experience. R4,500/month stipend. Real work. Real absorption into Zibuke Africa. At Zibuke OnCall, accountability is not what we talk about. It is what we demonstrate. Only those who are accountable can thrive here.

📌 How This Works

This page is a registration to undergo the Accountability Assessment for one of three internship tracks under the Sales department. You do not become an intern by submitting this form. You become an intern by passing the Accountability Assessment.

  1. Register now. Pick a track (Business Management, Public Relations, or Marketing Management) and submit the form below. This is your registration for the Accountability Assessment.
  2. Undergo the Accountability Assessment. Over the next 3 months, sell 45 active subscriptions and demonstrate the monthly 5-sale benchmark. Commission-only. You are not employed during the assessment.
  3. Become an intern. Once you hit 45, the master confirms you and you begin the 24-month internship programme. R4,500/month stipend. Logbook-based workplace experience. Rotations between managers and supervisors. No monthly sales minimums, no performance bonuses during the internship.
  4. Get absorbed. At the end of the 24 months, you are permanently absorbed into Zibuke Africa operations as a regular employee. No additional interviews.

Phase 2: Internship Stipend (After Passing 45 Packages)

R4,500

Monthly stipend during the 24-month workplace experience programme. Commission-only during the Accountability Assessment. You are NOT employed during the assessment. We cannot register you with the Department of Labour until you pass. Once you graduate, you are absorbed into Zibuke Africa operations as a permanent employee.

Why Our Internships Are Different

Most internships give you coffee-fetching and busywork. Zibuke OnCall internships give you real workplace experience that counts toward your diploma. After passing the Accountability Assessment, you enter the 24-month internship programme where every activity is documented in your logbook/workbook. You rotate between managers and supervisors, performing the tasks required for your N6 practical experience. Every intern who completes our programme is fully absorbed into Zibuke Africa operations. You graduate straight into a permanent role.

🎯 The Accountability Assessment. Your Practical Interview

We do not hire through traditional interviews. We assess through accountability. Here is why and how our process works.

Why We Don't Use Traditional Interviews

Traditional interviews test one thing: how well you talk about yourself. They measure confidence, not competence. They reward polish, not performance. A candidate can give a perfect interview and fail completely on the job. Talking about selling and actually selling are two entirely different skills.

We have all experienced the frustration of hiring someone who "interviewed well" but could not deliver. That is why Zibuke OnCall, like every unit within the Services Division of Zibuke Africa, does not interview. We assess through accountability.

What Is the Accountability Assessment?

The Accountability Assessment is a practical, performance-based evaluation. Instead of sitting in an interview room answering hypothetical questions, you are given a real target: sell 45 subscription plan packages. This is not a test of what you say you can do. It is proof of what you actually can do.

  • Commission-only: During the assessment, you earn commission on every sale. There is no basic salary until you graduate. You are paid strictly on the Net Subscription Value (price minus 15% VAT): Silver 8%, Gold 10%, Platinum 12%.
  • It is real: You sell the same plans, to the same customers, using the same tools as every employee.
  • It is fair: Every candidate is measured by the same objective metric. That metric is 45 sales. Not who you know, not how you dress, not how smoothly you answer "What is your greatest weakness?"
  • It is proven: If you can sell 45 packages, you have demonstrated the resilience, communication skill, and work ethic needed to succeed here. No interview question can prove that.

What Happens After You Pass?

Once you sell your 45th package, you are fully confirmed into the internship programme. You begin earning your R4,500 monthly stipend while completing your 24-month workplace experience. You will NOT be required to sell a minimum number of packages each month, and you will NOT earn monthly performance bonuses. Instead, you focus on the activities assigned by your manager and supervisor, documented in your logbook/workbook to fulfil the practical requirements for your diploma.

You will be placed under a Sales Manager (each manager may have 1-3 interns) but you are not part of the core team of 5 Sales Representatives. You report to the manager for guidance while rotating between managers and supervisors to gain exposure across different functions. At the end of the 24-month programme, you are automatically absorbed into Zibuke Africa operations as a permanent employee. There are no additional interviews and no further assessments. Your 45 sales already proved you belong.

What If You Don't Reach 45?

The Accountability Assessment is designed to find the right people, not to filter everyone out. If you do not reach 45 sales within the 3-month assessment period, you will not pass the assessment. You are never employed at Zibuke OnCall before passing the Accountability Assessment. We cannot register you with the Department of Labour unless you have passed. You keep the commission you earned on every sale you made. This is a far better outcome than a traditional interview rejection with nothing to show for it.

📋 Key Principle

Character cannot be taught. It can be demonstrated. The Accountability Assessment does not test your knowledge. It tests your willingness to be accountable, your resilience in the face of rejection, and your genuine care for the customers you serve. These are the qualities that make someone successful at Zibuke OnCall, and they can only be proven through action, not conversation.

📋 Internship Structure: Logbook, Rotation and Absorption

Once you pass the Accountability Assessment, here is how the 24-month internship programme works.

Workplace Experience & Logbook

Every activity you perform during the 24-month programme must be documented in your logbook/workbook as required for your diploma. Your manager and supervisor will assign tasks that count toward your N6 practical experience. You will not be required to sell a minimum number of packages each month, and you will not receive monthly performance bonuses. Your focus is on completing the workplace activities assigned to you.

Rotation Between Managers & Supervisors

You will rotate between different managers and supervisors throughout the programme, gaining exposure to multiple functions within Zibuke OnCall and Zibuke Africa. Each manager or supervisor will assign you activities that are relevant to your track and count toward your logbook.

Placement Under a Sales Manager

You are placed under a Sales Manager for overall guidance, but you do not form part of the core team of 5 Sales Representatives. Each manager may be assigned between 1 and 3 interns at a time, and interns may be moved between managers or new interns added over time. The manager's core team of 5 reps remains unchanged. You report to the manager for mentorship while rotating to other supervisors for track-specific practical experience. Once you finish your internship and are absorbed into Zibuke Africa operations, you may transition into a permanent role.

Signature & Logbook Compliance

Any intern who does not perform their assigned work according to the instructions of their supervisor or manager will not receive that manager's or supervisor's signature in their logbook. Interns whose logbooks have missing or unsigned sections will be released from the programme. This demonstrates that they failed to apply themselves to the duties required to qualify for their diploma.

Choose Your Track

All tracks follow the same Accountability Assessment (sell 45 packages) and lead to permanent absorption into Zibuke Africa. Each track determines your focus during and after the programme.

📊 Business Management

Focus on sales operations, team coordination, territory management, and business development. Ideal for candidates who see themselves leading sales teams and managing regional performance. Graduates move into junior management roles within Zibuke Africa.

🤝 Public Relations

Focus on customer engagement, community outreach, brand reputation, and stakeholder communication. You will learn how to build trust between Zibuke OnCall and the South African households we serve. Graduates move into PR and communications roles within Zibuke Africa.

📈 Marketing Management

Focus on purpose-driven engagement, campaign execution, market research, and lead generation strategy. You will learn how to connect affordable appliance repair with the families who need it most. Graduates move into marketing and growth roles within Zibuke Africa.

All three tracks (Business Management, Public Relations, Marketing Management) sit under the Sales department and share the same Accountability Assessment (commission-only, sell 45 active subscriptions in 3 months), R4,500 monthly stipend during the 24-month internship, and absorption pathway. After passing, interns are not subjected to monthly sales minimums or performance bonuses. They focus on logbook-based workplace activities assigned by their manager and supervisor. Your choice of track determines your specialization.
